Role: Public Relations & Branding Client: Red Dot Design Museum
The Design District, curated by the Red Dot Design Museum, brings you beyond the traditional tourist spots to the citys inspiring cluster; an exciting and vibrant alcove of design and creative interests, shops, cafes, hotels, galleries, performances, workshops and events. The App is a self touring walking guide that relies on Global Positioning System (GPS) to direct users on a creative journey through the 50 to 80 places of interests, all within a 3km radius of the Red Dot Design Museum.
I was given the opportunity to pioneer this project whilst working with Singapore Red Dot Design Museum. The Design District was birthed when the creative director envisioned for a platform that unites various creative enterprises in these saturated areas. At that time, Singapore was recently designated as a UNESCO Creative City of Design and we wanted to ride on that achievement to further elevate the smaller creatives around the area. During my time here, I had the pleasure of curating and forging strong partnerships with 52 shortlisted creative powerhouses like Woods in the Books, BooksActually, Strangelets, New Majestic Hotel, Sarnies, Sultans of Shave and many others . Along with managing public relations, I was also given the opportunity to craft the identity and design the information architecture for the Design District phone application and print ephemeras The project was gradually passed on to another creative as my time in Red Dot Design Museum came to an end.
