Conceived as a vehicle to give young people insight into the working practices of the creative industries, sixth form students from the Midlands were given a brief to research and design a campaign, service, spectacle or product that has the potential to improve a particular community – getting them to think about issues of local and national importance. This publication captures their responses as they speculate on Homelessness, Youth Spaces and Mental Health within a chosen community. Here thereof contains proposals by these young thinkers; a concise documentation of their work over the past 4 months. This is also a fine testament to their enthusiasm, discovery and engagement with design throughout the competition process, highlighting their potential as future creative entrepreneurs.
